Modern Livingston County History Books by J. William Goold
Bill Goold is a native of Fairbury, Illinois. Mr. Goold has researched and written two books that include history related to Livingston County.

1st Book by J. William (Bill) Goold
One of these books is titled The Kiwikapawa/Quicapu/Kickapoo: In A Historical Way Station.
The Native American Kickapoo lived south of Fairbury, Illinois, from 1828 until 1830. In 1830, they moved 10 miles east to Oliver's Grove, about three miles south of present-day Chatsworth. In 1832, the Kickapoo were forced to leave the State of Illinois.
Mr. Goold's book focuses on the history of the Native American Kickapoo tribe.

The second book researched and written by Mr. Goold is titled Comets of Conscience: Freedom Seekers, Abolitionists, and Leaders of the Underground Railroad in Central Illinois.
This book includes information about the Underground Railroad in several Central Illinois counties, including Livingston County.
